Jena Ferrarese

Jena brings nearly 15 years of geospatial expertise to Vibrant Planet. She is a fan of all things geospatial, particularly when applied to natural resource-related questions. Her academic background includes a B.S. in Natural Resources from Cornell University, a GIS Graduate Certificate from Portland State University, an M.S. in Forestry from the University of Montana, and a second B.S. in Information Technology from Colorado State University. She also accumulated six seasons working as a federal wildland firefighter. Her professional GIS experience includes vegetation and wildlife landscape analyses, environmental compliance and permitting support, wildland fire risk assessments for military lands, ArcGIS Enterprise and database administration, and lots of automation through scripting. Jena is based in Anchorage, Alaska.
